Dr. Hooshang Lahooti is a member of the Coordinating Committee and spokesperson for the Experimental Research Group of the Phoenix Project of Iran.

Houshang Lahooti is a researcher, senior professor, cell and molecular biologist (molecular endocrinologist) and a member of the scientific and medical staff of the University of Sydney in Australia.

Born in the southern city of Abadan, Iran, he finished his elementary and secondary education in the same city and completed his university studies in England and then worked at Pahlavi University in Shiraz, Iran. After the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he returned to England and later went to Norway to study for a master and doctorate degree, finishing his postdoctoral fellowship at the Royal Institute of Cancer Research in London, United Kingdom.

Dr. Lahooti has published dozens of medical articles and over thirty (30) scientific posters in internationally recognized journals. The scientific and medical community around the world are familiar with his ideas and theories in basic molecular and cellular science research to fight cancer.
